Creating a Style Sheet for Your Site...
Your Aliquant website design is controlled by three CSS Files
(Cascading Style Sheet Files). If your site design was created by a
professional web designer these style sheets are already in place. If
not, you have two options... you can create custom style sheets and
upload them to the web server or you can use our style sheet wizard to
automatically generate a style sheet for your site.
If you need to manually work with the style sheets you will need to
download them from the site. The three files that control the look of
your site are:
- /Site_Files/wt_style.css: sets the default values for site fonts
and colors
- /Site_Files/template.css: sets the <DIV> values for all
pages except the home page.
- /Site_Files/hometemplate.css: sets the <DIV> values for the
home page.
You can create as many site font and color templates (wt_style.css)
and save them to the /Site_Files/templates folder using different names.
These templates will then be available any time you wish to use them.
Use the Site Setup Values / Choose Colors Template link from the
administration section to access the template files.
From the administration site choose Site Setup Values / Edit Site
Colors. The wizard is illustrated below. Below the illustration is a
description of the values you will need to enter.

- Please NOTE: All colors entered in this wizard must be in HEX
format (#RRGGBB). The HEX value must be preceded with a number sign
(#). If you use the "Color Chooser" link to choose
your colors the HEX value of the color you choose will automatically
be added to the appropriate value field. (See Color Chooser below)
- Default Font: Choose one or more fonts for your site. If you
choose more than one font the first font found on the user's system
will be the font used to view your site. NOTE: We list only the most
common fonts found on default installations of the operating system.
- Default Font Size: The default font size is the size that will be
used for all content where a specific font size was not chosen in
the content editor. Heading and navigation font sizes are adjusted
by the wizard based on the default size you choose.
- Title / Header Font Color: This color is set for all "Title /
Header" values used in the navigation bars, news releases and
events.
- Main PAGE Background Color: This color will be used as the
background color for the entire page.
- Main Body Font Color: This is the default font color for your
content section if a different color is NOT defined in the content
editor.
- Main Body Link Color: This is the default link font color for your
content section if a different color is NOT defined in the content
editor.
- Navigation Bar Background Color: This is the default background
color for ALL of your navigation bars. Please Note: This default
color can be over-ridden ONLY in the User Navigation 1 & 2
files. (See Creating User Navigation
Files).
- Navigation Bar Font and Link Color: This is the default font and
link color for ALL of your navigation bars.
- Warning Background Color: This is the default background color for
all areas in the site where important messages and information is
provided to the user.
- Warning Font and Link Color: This is the default font and link
color for the automated user message and information areas.
- Footer Background Color: This is the default background color for
the footer area of your site UNLESS you specify a different color
using the content editor.
- Footer Font and Link Color: This is the default font and link
color for the footer section.
- Create your own Template: RECOMMENDED... If you wish you can save
your preferences to a TEMPLATE. Once saved, you can review how your
site will look using the template before you decide to use it. THIS
IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
To save your settings to a template, enter a template name (upper
and lower case letters and numbers only...no spaces or special
characters and no file extension). The wizard will automatically
write a (.css) file to the server using the name you entered. Please
NOTE: If you use a filename that is already in use the wizard will
overwrite the existing file with the new information.
- Choose the Save Changes button to save your template file.
To review how your site will look using this template choose Site
Setup Values / Choose Colors Template from the administration menu.
Choose the Review This Template link for the file you created.
This will open a new window to show you how the template will look.
After reviewing the template, if you need to make minor changes click
your browsers back button twice to return to the CSS wizard. Make your
changes and click the Save Changes button again. Return to the Choose
Colors Template link and review the changes.
Color Chooser...
When you are using the CSS Wizard each required color has a
"Color Chooser" link. When you click this link the following
window will open.

To choose a color, move the sliders (left and right arrows on each
color bar) up and down until you have the color you want. As you move
the slider(s) the background color in the "CURRENT COLOR"
section will change to show the color you have set. The value in the
field at the top is the HEX value of the color. When you click the
"Go!" button the HEX value will be entered in the appropriate
field on the wizard.
